Through sharing the primary needs of the poorest among the women and men of the last century, Teresa of Calcutta developed her specific vocation, and follows her mission around the world up to the foundation of the Missionaries of Charity and culminating with her being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, through her friendship with John Paul II, up to her beatification. She was declared a saint on September 4, 2016.
