Concilium 2021/2: Synodalities

While the vision of a synodal church is widely shared, as noted in the International Theological Commission's 2018 report, the theological work needs to be pursued in order to clarify the principles and pastoral choices and practitioners need to be unequivocally involved. This edition of Concilium is intended to prepare the ground for this event, so essential to the future of the Catholic Church and to lend support for the implementation of this initiative by the pontiff. This edition is split into three sections: sharing some examples of synodal practice in the Church across the world; showcasing some biblical, anthropological and practical approaches to synodal practice; putting forward some specific proposals to establish and sustain life and practice in a truly synodal Catholic Church.
